Sinergi is hét interactieve platform waar we een duurzame toekomst in het heden ervaarbaar maken. Een platform voor journalistieke onderzoeken die op een interactieve manier onder de aandacht worden gebracht. Via Serious games hoopt de oprichtster Fleur van der Linden, haar publiek onderdeel te maken van actuele vraagstukken. Het project “Building Sinergi” is het resultaat van de journalistieke zoektocht naar een toekomst waar natuur, mensen en technologie samenwerken als ecosysteem. De serious game werkt als een informatief alternatief op Google Maps. In deze stad volg je echter geen routes die je via een vervuilde snelweg van A naar B brengen. In Sinergi ontdek je ongebaande paden, die je laten zien hoe het anders kan en ervaar je innovaties voordat ze ontwikkeld zijn.
Sinergi is an interactive platform that makes our sustainable future experienceable in the present. A platform where journalistic research is presented in an interactive way. Founder Fleur van der Linden hopes to make her audience part of current issues through Serious Games. The project “Building Sinergi” is the result of the journalistic search for a future where nature, people and technology work together as an ecosystem. The serious game works like an informative alternative to Google Maps. In this city, however, you do not follow routes that take you from A to B via a polluted highway. In Sinergi you will discover unbeaten paths, that show you how things can be done differently make you experience innovations before they are developed.
Journalistic research
Het onderzoek naar de vormgeving van deze speculatieve toekomst, is gedaan via een filosofische podcast en een serie 3D animaties. In de podcast zetten Fleur van der Linden, samen met pioniers in duurzaamheid en technologie, de stad in de steigers. Ze onderzochten de lekkages in onze huidige systemen. Verscheurden de kaders van ons stadsbeeld en puzzelden deze opnieuw in elkaar. In de serie 3D animaties wordt de fundering van de stad met k’nex gebouwd. De kleuren van de k’nex zijn gekoppeld aan voorzieningen uit ons dagelijks leven. De animaties illustreren stap voor stap de verbindingen die de pioniers bedachten om een eerlijke, slimme en duurzame toekomst te bouwen. Door de met fundering kleur en organische vormen in elkaar te zetten, probeerde Fleur ervoor te zorgen dat mensen voorbij de standaard indeling van een stad denken.
The research into the design of this speculative future has been done through a philosophical podcast and a serie 3D animations. In the podcast, Fleur van der Linden put the city on the rise, together with pioneers in sustainability and technology. They investigated the leaks in our current systems. Torn the frames of our cityscape and re-puzzled them together. The foundation of the city is built with k'nex. The colors of the k'nex are linked to amenities from our daily lives. The animations illustrate step by step the connections that the pioneers devised to build a fair, smart and sustainable future. By assembling the foundation with color and organic shapes, Fleur tried to get people to think beyond the standard layout of a city.
